4 Local Orlando Restaurants You Should Try

Updated: Apr 21, 2021

Since Brian and I moved to Orlando, Florida, we have made wonderful memories at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. But when we weren't exploring the parks while I made art, we also enjoyed the local shops and restaurants!

Today, I am sharing some of my favorite local restaurants you should try when you are in Orlando. And the best part about them is that three of these restaurants are near the parks!

Bruno's

Off exit 192 near Animal Kingdom, you will find this family-owned Italian restaurant, Bruno's. The best part is they offer giant portions, so you can keep share a meal or save some for later. All of the entrees come with a side of pasta bread and salad. The linguine alfredo with chicken was divine! Go look at their menu to see all Bruno's offers.

Sakura Asian Fusion

The Asian fusion restaurant can also be found off of 192 towards the Disney World entrances. You can get pad thai, sushi, pho, hibachi, and Chinese food all in one place! Brian and I loved the sushi and had a pretty awesome time dining at Sakura on our day off. You can check out Sakura Asian Fusion's menu now!

Bosphorous

This restaurant is located near Universal Orlando in the Dr. Phillips area. Bosphorous offers Turkish cuisine. I did a Turkish wine tasting, and it was SO good! They have hummus, babaganoush, and this fantastic bread that was beyond tasty. We got the "meat for two" meal, and it lasted us for weeks! Visit their website now to see all the food and drinks Bosphorous offers.

Sticky Rice

The Asian restaurant located on East Colonial Drive provides Lao street food that is to die for! My mom found this place for us to try, and it knocked my socks off. They have small plates meals with foods such as dumplings, spring rolls, and lettuce wraps. Sticky Rice also has noodle dishes that you will love! We got the fried chicken bao, tapioca dumplings, a curry broth dish, and the restaurant's beer lao lager. Go look at Sticky Rice's menu and plan your next meal at the awesome restaurant!
