This past weekend Brian and I explored Disney's Animal Kingdom Villa - Kidani Village and had lunch at Sanaa! People always ask me what they should do when they get to Orlando, and today I am sharing my thoughts on my experience at the Disney lodge!
First and foremost, the resort is simply stunning. You will not believe how gorgeous the unique chandeliers are! Coming to this resort is such a perfect substitute if you cannot get reservations at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
There is a savannah at the lodge, and people can reserve rooms that overlook the scenic views!
Sanaa: The Art of African Cooking with Indian Flavor is the restaurant located at the resort. Side Note: Even if you can't get a reservation at the restaurant, you can get food to-go and eat it in the library.
When you walk in, on the left and right, there are these beautiful balconies opened to the public with rocking chairs, and the best part is that there are real animals at the resort. There is also another balcony located in the library!
So if you are dining at Sanaa, you have got to ask for a window seat! We were happy to wait longer for this because we got to see the animals while we ate. Needless to say, I was freaking out during the entire meal. Giraffes are my favorite animal, and I loved seeing them roam the savannah! Keep in mind, Brian is a local from Orlando, and he was blown away by our experience at Sanaa.
We ordered the Indian-style bread service, which was $18, but it was SO worth it! The meal offers a choice of five breads and nine accompaniments. Each of the five breads have totally different flavors and everything we ate was exquisite. This was one of the best meals I've had at Disney World!
After talking to one of the cast members who told me one of their favorite Theodore Roosevelt conservation quotes, I also made a new art piece.
